Logan Richardson [Blues People]

Info

Alto saxophonist from Kansas City, Logan Richardson presents his project Blues People, where blues, jazz and rock intersect without hierarchy. Drawn as much from Coltrane’s intensity as from Hendrix’s freedom, his music moves over deep grooves, blending melodic themes, gritty textures and extended improvisational passages. The balance is sought between structure and openness, song and abstraction, within an electric setting that preserves an acoustic breath. Join us on 25 February 2026 at La Petite Halle de la Villette, Paris.

On stage, the collective heightens the interaction: repeated motifs, rhythmic ruptures and synthetic pads interlock; forms shift over the course of the concert and energy flows. Rooted in African-American heritage yet oriented toward the present, the music plays with the permeability between groove, improvisation and electronic sonorities.

Around Logan Corea Richardson (saxophones, composition) are Javier Santiago (keyboards, synthesizers), Miles Lennox (keyboards, synthesizers), Frescia Belmar (electric bass) and Ronald Bruner Jr. (drums).
