Info
Cancer Bats celebrate 20 years of Birthing the Giant on April 10, 2026 at The Opera House in Toronto. Nés dans la scène hardcore locale, they’ve built a direct blend of hardcore punk, metal and sludge with a hint of southern rock, driven by heavy riffs, fast tempos and a chant that leans into the shout. For this anniversary, they revisit their 2006 debut and draw from the rest of their catalogue, from Hail Destroyer to The Spark That Moves and Psychic Jailbreak.
Chastity, the project led by Brandon Williams from Whitby, brings songs shaped by suburban life and Ontario’s DIY punk circuits. The sound moves between punk, post-hardcore and indie rock, with dense guitars and melodies that stick, from Death Lust to Suffer Summer.
From Vancouver, Anciients adds a progressive metal angle: heavy, stretched structures, shifts in dynamics, rough-edged vocals and harmonised guitars that nod to 70s rock, carried by sludge weight and doom tempos.
Legal age 19+. Venue: The Opera House, 735 Queen Street East, Toronto.
