Info

Poison the Well brings the Peace in Place tour to Toronto on April 7, 2026, at History, 1663 Queen Street East, with Converge and Balmora on the bill.

Formed in Miami, Poison the Well shaped a melodic strain of metalcore from late‑90s hardcore roots. Across The Opposite of December, Tear from the Red and You Come Before You, the band staged a push‑and‑pull between jagged riffs, screamed vocals and clearer melodies, then widened the frame on Versions and The Tropic Rot. On stage, Jeffrey Moreira, Ryan Primack and Chris Hornbrook revisit that range, from tight, aggressive bursts to slower, more atmospheric turns.

Converge emerged from the Boston area with a sound splicing hardcore punk and extreme metal into tense, broken rhythms. Jane Doe set a blueprint, while You Fail Me, Axe to Fall and The Dusk in Us moved toward thicker textures without dropping intensity. Their set pivots on dense interplay, dissonant guitar lines and sharp shifts from rush to restraint.

From Connecticut, Balmora leans on heavy grooves, stark breaks and a raw bark, sitting between contemporary hardcore and metal. Their tracks swing from fast strikes to heavier stretches, built for impact in the room.

This concert is all ages.
