Purity Ring - Place of My Own Tour

Purity Ring brings the Place of My Own tour to Hollywood Theatre in Vancouver on 26 May 2026, with guests. Formed in Edmonton, the duo unites Megan James, singer and lyricist, with producer Corin Roddick. Since the early single Ungirthed and their debut album Shrines, they’ve shaped a sound where treated vocals, melodic synths and rhythms drawn from hip-hop and synth-pop meet lyrics that lean into darker imagery. Another Eternity opened their palette toward a cleaner, more direct writing, while WOMB in 2020 and the Graves EP in 2022 extended their intimate, dreamlike edge. On stage, Purity Ring centers James’s voice and Roddick’s live electronics, reworking tracks for a set that moves between airy hooks and denser, percussive passages.

For this tour, the band asks the audience to wear a high-filtration respirator (N95 or KN95). Free masks will be available at the door. Purity Ring also partners with PLUS1 so that $1 per ticket supports The Black Trans Prayer Book, contributing to work that uplifts Black trans and non-binary people.
