Nino D’Angelo - I miei meravigliosi anni '80 ...bis!

With I miei meravigliosi anni '80 ...bis!, Nino D’Angelo returns to the period that brought him to the forefront across Italy. Born in 1957 in Naples, he grew up in a working-class neighborhood and made a name for himself early on with songs in Neapolitan, initially distributed on cassette. In the early 1980s he appeared in musical films in which he both sang and acted, and became one of the voices of the neomelodic movement: direct melodies, simple language, stories from the city's neighborhoods.

From the 1990s his writing shifted toward the cantautore tradition. Neapolitan stood alongside Italian, with lyrics that address social change, the city's memory and family relationships. He appeared several times at the Sanremo Festival and meanwhile built a career as a film and theatre actor. Today his music moves between canzone napoletana, Italian pop and ballad, with strong attention to storytelling and rootedness in his city. On 26 April 2026 Nino D’Angelo brings this programme to Le Forum in Liège, a concert that reinterprets his eighties from a contemporary perspective.
