Le Youth, aka Wes James, has been shaping his own take on house since the early 2010s. The Toledo-born, Los Angeles–based producer made a first splash with C O O L in 2013, built around Cassie’s Me & U, then followed with Dance with Me, sketching a line between club rhythms, 90s R&B vocal textures and straightforward pop structures. Over time, his writing has tilted toward a more melodic, progressive edge: airy pads, long builds and a careful play between tension and release, while keeping vocals in the foreground. Between original tracks, remixes and a steady presence on international stages, he’s drawn a thread that connects R&B’s feel, house heritage and current melodic electronics, a direction crystallized on his 2022 album Reminders.

He brings the who are you really? tour to Vancouver on April 25, 2026 at Commodore Ballroom.
