Buffalo’s The Goo Goo Dolls headline TD Coliseum, 101 York Boulevard in Hamilton, on April 2, 2026, with Dashboard Confessional. Led by singer-guitarist John Rzeznik and bassist-singer Robby Takac, the band moved from late-80s punk-leaning alternative to a melodic pop rock blend. Early albums like Goo Goo Dolls and Hold Me Up set the path, then A Boy Named Goo brought the single Name. Dizzy Up the Girl included Iris, written for the City of Angels soundtrack. Since then, releases such as Gutterflower, Let Love In, Boxes, Miracle Pill and Chaos in Bloom have kept the duo active on the road and in the studio.
Dashboard Confessional, the project of Chris Carrabba, began with intimate acoustic songs before expanding into a full band rooted in emo and alternative rock. The Swiss Army Romance and The Places You Have Come to Fear the Most marked the start, followed by MTV Unplugged 2.0 and albums like A Mark, a Mission, a Brand, a Scar and Dusk and Summer. After a quieter period, the project returned with Crooked Shadows and All the Truth That I Can Tell, keeping a focus on narrative lyrics, voice-and-guitar momentum and a balance between stripped-back moments and fuller arrangements.
