Winterruption YEG lines up FEAR with L.A.M.S., Cat Piss and Cutoffs at The Starlite Room on Saturday 24 January 2026. FEAR, the LA punk band fronted by Lee Ving, returns to Edmonton for the first time in nearly forty years. Expect taut rhythms, barbed riffs and the deadpan bite that runs through their early catalog, played with the clipped precision and raw volume of the late-70s/early-80s scene they came up in. The songs are short, sharp and built to move a room.
Opening the night, L.A.M.S., Cat Piss and Cutoffs set the pace with guitar-driven sets that keep things fast and direct. Different angles, same spirit: DIY energy, tight drums, rough edges and hooks that land quick. Four bands, one straight-ahead bill anchored in punk's essentials, set inside a festival context that keeps the focus on stage and crowd.
