Stampeders bring their long-running Canadian rock story back to Winnipeg for One More Time. Formed in Calgary in the mid-60s, the trio of Rich Dodson, Ronnie King and Kim Berly honed a sound that moves between rock, pop rock and country rock, with close harmonies and a mix of electric bite and acoustic warmth. They cut their teeth on the Toronto circuit at the turn of the 70s, then broke through with the 1971 debut Against the Grain and its single Sweet City Woman, followed by Carryin’ On the same year and Rubber Stampeders in 1972. Tours across North America, TV appearances and a few detours through funk and harder tones followed, including a nod to Wolfman Jack on a version of Hit the Road Jack. After a quieter spell in the late 70s, the core lineup regrouped and kept the catalogue alive on festival and theatre stages. Catch them on June 5, 2026 at Burton Cummings Theatre in Winnipeg.
