Daraîche et filles

The name Daraîche evokes a Québécois country saga. Patriarch of the line, Paul Daraîche, a fixture on the scene since the late 1960s, adapts the conventions of North American country into French, moving between road ballads and family chronicles. On stage he is joined by the Daraîche women: his children Émilie and Katia, and his niece Dani, daughter of Julie Daraîche, a pioneer of the genre. Together they revisit the classics that have shaped their story and that of their audience, in a spirit of transmission and closeness.

On June 7, 2026, at the Cabaret du Casino, 1 Avenue du Casino, Montréal, Daraîche and Daughters will present a repertoire drawn from tradition, carried by family harmonies and arrangements that range from traditional country to folk with pop-tinged touches. It is an opportunity to hear these songs as they were known and as we love to hear them again, and to appreciate the continuity of a heritage rooted in Gaspésie yet open to the wider world.
