Info
The Record Company plays Commodore Ballroom, 868 Granville Street, Vancouver, on March 22, 2026. The Los Angeles trio of Chris Vos, Alex Stiff and Marc Cazorla digs into electric blues, roots rock and 60s/70s R&B with a stripped, analog-leaning approach. A hefty rhythm section, rough-edged guitar riffs and a grainy lead vocal shape a sound built for direct impact. After early DIY EPs and plenty of touring in the US and Europe, they set their blueprint with Give It Back to You (2016), shifted toward a more melodic rock writing on All of This Life (2018), then folded modern soul influences and denser grooves into Play Loud (2021), without losing the blues-rock backbone that drives their shows.
Sharing the bill, Jontavious Willis comes from Greenville, Georgia, and carries the acoustic Southern blues tradition. Born in 1996, he moves between country blues, ragtime, gospel and folk, often performing solo or in tight duo/trio formats. His debut Blue Metamorphosis (2016) put voice and guitar at the center; Spectacular Class (2019) deepened the traditional frame, from slow tempos to brisk fingerpicking, with nods to Piedmont styles and church songs. On stage, he balances transmission of roots repertoire with personal writing and spontaneous vocal turns.
