Patrick Watson brings his piano-led songs and cinematic arrangements to Vancouver. The Montreal singer, composer and bandleader has built a body of work that moves between folk intimacy and chamber-pop exploration, from his debut Just Another Ordinary Day to Close to Paradise, which earned the Polaris Music Prize, then Wooden Arms and Adventures in Your Own Backyard. On stage, he plays with dynamics and space, layering strings, subtle electronics and percussive textures around that unmistakable falsetto.
