DRAMA - Platonic Romance Tour

DRAMA brings the Platonic Romance Tour to Toronto on January 28, 2026 at The Opera House, 735 Queen Street East. Formed in Chicago, the duo unites singer and writer Via Rosa with producer Na’el Shehade for a blend of alternative R&B, electronic pop and the city’s house lineage. Their tracks center on Rosa’s soulful, melodic voice, framed by clean synth textures, steady grooves and bass lines rooted in club music. Early signposts came with the EPs Gallows (2016) and Lies After Love (2018); the full-length Dance Without Me (2020) sharpened a balance between intimate ballads and direct, dance-floor cuts, circling themes of romance, solitude, the night out and the morning after. Along the way, collaborations with the international electronic scene, including Gorgon City, have placed DRAMA at the crossing of contemporary R&B and modern house. Live, they push that meeting point further: vocals up front, arrangements that shift from tender to propulsive, and a set built to move without losing the shade in the lyrics.
