Info
Salebarbes sets course for Québec on February 12, 2027, at the Théâtre Capitole. The Acadian collective brings together Éloi and Jonathan Painchaud, Kevin McIntyre, Georges Belliveau and Jean‑François Breau — longtime collaborators who share vocals and roles on stage. Their raw material is a French‑language repertoire rooted in the traditions of Acadia and Louisiana, where folk and Cajun take the lead, with touches of country and rock, prominent harmonies, driving rhythms that make you want to move, and an unapologetically Acadian way of speaking.
Since Live au Pas Perdus (2019), followed by Gin à l’eau salée (2021) and À boire deboutte (2023), Salebarbes has drawn a clear line between original songs and pieces from the heritage repertoire, while maintaining accessible formats and a tight, well‑oiled group dynamic. After several appearances at the Capitole since 2023, the band returns with a new show conceived for intimacy and collective momentum, positioned between popular memory and contemporary Francophone culture.
See you at the Théâtre Capitole, 972 rue Saint‑Jean, G1R 1R5 Québec, Canada.
