On March 14, 2026, OLG Stage at Fallsview Casino in Niagara Falls hosts a double bill with Glass Tiger and Trooper.
Formed in 1983 in Newmarket, Ontario, Glass Tiger shaped a pop rock sound where melodic hooks meet new wave textures. Built around the voice of Alan Frew, the band made its mark with The Thin Red Line in 1986 and singles like Don’t Forget Me (When I’m Gone), featuring Bryan Adams, and Someday. Diamond Sun (1988) pushed a more mature pop rock writing, followed by Simple Mission (1991) with the duet My Town alongside Rod Stewart. Between keyboards and guitars, ballads and mid-tempo tracks, the group has kept touring through the 2000s and 2010s, alternating electric and acoustic formats while revisiting its early catalog.
Trooper, formed in the mid-1990s in Târgoviște, Romania, stands on a heavy metal foundation with a melodic streak. Led by vocalist Alin “Coiotu” Dincă with guitars from Aurelian Dincă and Cristian Oftez, and a rhythm section of Ionuț “Oscar” Covalciuc (drums) and Ionuț Rădulescu (bass), the band writes direct, structured songs in Romanian and English. Lyrics move between everyday life and more reflective themes, while a stable core lineup keeps their identity sharp from Bucharest clubs to wider metal stages.
