Mt. Joy marks a decade onstage with a night built around the songs that carried them from Philly clubs to festival fields. Formed in 2016 by songwriters Matt Quinn and Sam Cooper and rounded out by Michael Byrnes, Jackie Miclau and Sotiris Eliopoulos, the band blends indie rock and folk with a subtle psych tint: melodic guitars, keys that steer the mood, and storytelling vocals. Astrovan lit the fuse online, followed by three albums — Mt. Joy (2018), Rearrange Us (2020) and Orange Blood (2022) — tracing a path between concise pop writing and the looser energy of jam bands.
Onstage, the band lets songs breathe, stretching grooves and reshaping choruses without losing the hook. Sets typically revisit early favorites alongside newer standouts, shaped in the moment by the interplay the quintet has honed on the road. Mt. Joy 2026: Celebrating 10 Years of Mt.
