Vincent Vallières has been shaping a frank, melodic take on Québécois chanson since the late ’90s, blending rock, folk and francophone pop with a storyteller’s eye. Born in Sherbrooke, he first made his mark with Trente arpents (1999), then sharpened his narratives on Bordel ambiant and Chacun dans son espace. Over the years, his sound moved toward leaner, more acoustic arrangements on Le repère tranquille and Le monde tourne fort, a path continued on Fabriquer l’aube, Le temps des vivants and Toute beauté n’est pas perdue. On stage, Vallières favors a close-up format: voice and guitar up front, a tight band serving songs about everyday life, suburban edges and relationships that leave their trace.
He brings this approach to Théâtre Manuvie in Brossard on April 9, 2026, at 6000 Boulevard de Rome. The set draws across his catalog, with language and stories carried by clear melodies and an economy of means suited to the room.
