Claude Dubois

Montreal-born singer-songwriter Claude Dubois has been shaping francophone chanson since the mid-1960s. First heard in the city’s boîtes à chansons and the yé-yé wave, he soon moved toward more personal writing, carried by a distinctive voice and arrangements where acoustic guitars meet tight rhythm sections, with shades of blues or reggae.
