Sam Roberts Band

Sam Roberts Band plays Massey Hall in Toronto on April 12, 2026. Led by singer and guitarist Sam Roberts, the Montreal outfit writes melodic, guitar-driven songs that sit between indie impulses and classic North American rock. The project first took shape under Roberts’s name, breaking through in the early 2000s with The Inhuman Condition (2002) and We Were Born in a Flame (2003), laying out taut guitars, a strong sense of chorus and introspective lyrics. Chemical City (2006) and Love at the End of the World (2008) followed, before the group adopted the Sam Roberts Band moniker with Collider (2011), signaling a more collective dynamic around a stable core of players.

Since then, Lo-Fantasy (2014), TerraForm (2016), All of Us (2020) and The Adventures of Ben Blank (2023) have broadened the palette with more present keys, a touch of psychedelia and lightly pop-tinged rhythms, without losing the direct, live-minded heart of their sound.
