Deep Purple

Deep Purple plays the Lotto Arena in Antwerp on 23 October 2026. Formed in 1968 in Britain, the band established a sound where guitar riffs and the Hammond organ answer each other, with Ian Gillan on vocals, Ian Paice on drums and Roger Glover on bass. Today Don Airey handles the keyboards and Simon McBride has taken over the guitar, continuing a recognisable signature. In concert, Deep Purple alternates classics and newer material: Smoke on the Water, Highway Star, Perfect Strangers sit alongside more recent tracks, notably from Whoosh! and =1. Open instrumental sections, breaks and exchanges between keyboards and guitar allow the set to breathe without losing impact. The result is a blend of hard rock, classic rock and prog touches, with clear direction and a solid groove. It’s a date that spans the band’s various periods, from the beginnings to the present, carried by a line‑up that keeps this repertoire alive on stage.
