Elie Semoun returns with Cactus, a new chapter in his career as a comedian and actor. For more than thirty years he has alternated sketches and character pieces, and here he places more stand-up at the heart of his performance. His gallery of characters crosses the sensitive terrain of everyday life: Jean Abdul, who improvises as the opening act; a son who shows a nursing home (EHPAD) to his father; Xavier, living with a motor impairment, who introduces his wife to his mother; a father confronted with his son’s transition. You also encounter a karate class led by a racist instructor, and sketches that address sexual harassment and religion. Cactus unfolds a sharp yet light perspective, driven by Elie Semoun’s sense of play and observation. To be seen on 20 November 2026 at the Cité des Congrès in Nantes.
