On 24 November 2026 at the Zénith Limoges Métropole in Limoges, David Hallyday presents Requiem pour un fou, a concert conceived as a dialogue with the work of Johnny Hallyday. A songwriter, composer and musician, David penned Sang pour Sang, a landmark album that sealed the father–son reconciliation. Here, he revisits Johnny’s songs and moves through his own repertoire, weaving a narrative of lineage and transmission.
On stage, the setlist alternates Johnny classics, less-expected tracks and personal numbers, driven by arrangements that foreground his interpretation of these songs. He moves the pieces between two stories, that of the father and that of the son, to give voice to what this legacy inspires today. Requiem pour un fou traces a continuity without copying or freezing, with David’s voice and sensibility front and center. An event for those who grew up with the Hallyday name and wish to rediscover it through David’s perspective.
