aupinard takes over Salle Pleyel, Paris, on April 2, 2026. A French singer of Congolese descent, he carves out a distinctive space between bossa nova and R&B, with lyrics in French and a supple sense of rhythm. First noticed with his two debut EPs, aupitape 1: Hortensia and Pluie, Montagnes et Soleil, he unfolds a world where airy guitars, light percussion and understated harmonies answer one another effortlessly, carried by a nonchalant phrasing that glides over warm melodies. After an initial tour, he returns with a new show designed for the stage, tightened around his Brazilian and soul influences and a focus on dynamics that lets each song breathe. At Pleyel, he presents the bossa/R&B blend that defines him up close, between swaying grooves and mellow-tempo ballads. An ideal occasion to experience aupinard’s palette on a grand scale, in a hall that lets the music take center stage.
