A leading figure of Quebec song, Lynda Lemay writes, composes and performs everyday narratives in which characters take shape through clear phrasing and a guitar that is always at the forefront. She delivers her texts with a simplicity that places the story at the center, moving between folk, ballads and lighter tempos, without artifice.
Guitarist and composer Jean-Félix Lalanne contributes his precise playing and harmonies, from fingerpicking to more classical colors. His melodic lines, countermelodies and sense of dialogue are present, shifting the accompanying guitar into a second narrator. The duo offers a programme that blends standout songs with instrumental interludes, conceived for attentive listening and the intimacy of the Bordeaux venue.
