On April 16, 2026, at La Boule Noire in Paris, Alex Montembault presents his solo project. Trained in jazz and nourished by French chanson and 1970s progressive rock, he sets a soft, singular voice in dialogue with sensitive, finely crafted melodies. First discovered in Starmania, where he portrayed Marie-Jeanne, he returns with a personal repertoire that is restrained yet direct. On guitar as well as piano, he works close to the words, lets silences breathe, and pulls on the threads that run through him: identity, family, what is left unsaid. With precise writing, spare arrangements and melodic lines that settle naturally, his songs take shape on stage and open an intimate space without closing the door to sharing. It’s an opportunity to enter his world on a human scale, in a one-on-one encounter with the audience, for a first solo interlude that places voice and lyrics at the center.
