Cedric Burnside

On March 22, 2026, at Le Gueulard Plus in Nilvange, Cedric Burnside, guitarist and singer from Mississippi, will bring the Hill Country Blues tradition that he continues. A Grammy winner and the grandson of R.L. Burnside, he belongs to a lineage where rhythm and guitar lead the way, while allowing in contemporary colors.

His latest album, Hill Country Love, was recorded in a former law office in Tippah County, a wooden building conceived as a juke joint. With producer Luther Dickinson, he completed fourteen tracks in two days. The songs address his emotions and experiences directly, including the impact of his Grammy win, amid memories, doubts, and a desire for movement.

On stage, Cedric Burnside remains rooted in the blues passed down by his family, while blending in elements of rock, R&B and hip-hop. In Nilvange, he will present Hill Country Love and songs that have marked his journey, with a performance centered on rhythm and guitar, in the spirit of North Mississippi Hill Country Blues.
