Camille Berthollet

Info

Franco-Swiss violinist and cellist Camille Berthollet has been forging her path since childhood. She began studying the cello at age four, distinguished herself in several international competitions, and came to public attention in 2014 by winning Prodiges. Nominated for the Victoires de la Musique Classique in 2016 (Instrumental Solo Revelation), she alternates between solo projects, collaborations and concerts with orchestras. Eight albums to her name and 450,000 copies sold, tours in Europe as well as the United States, Russia and Asia, and a constant curiosity for the bridges between the classical repertoire and the contemporary scene.

On April 1, 2026, at the Théâtre de Béthune in Béthune, she will present a program that blends works from the major repertoire with more contemporary pieces, in a classical-and-crossover vein that suits her well. On stage, she moves from cello to violin with ease, attentive to sound, phrasing and the exchange with the audience and fellow musicians. For more than ten years, her collaborations and her concerts—both with orchestras and in more intimate formations—have sketched the portrait of a versatile, precise and accessible musician, determined to share music with the widest possible audience.
