Rosemary Standley, the singer from the group Moriarty, and Dom La Nena, a Brazilian cellist, join forces with magician Étienne Saglio for a show that blends music and illusion. The programme explores the relationship between sound and image.
For this creation, the duo Birds on a Wire pairs its musical universe with Étienne Saglio’s visual art. Voice, cello and illusions form a tableau that oscillates between dream and reality. Songs by Bob Dylan, Tom Waits and Jacques Brel take on a new shape. References to the Brothers Grimm’s tales emerge, weaving together motifs of myth and magic with echoes of childhood stories.
