MADBALL - SEE YOU IN THE PIT 15

Madball focuses on urgency, authenticity and integrity. After twenty-five years of studio work and touring, the band presents its ninth album, For the Cause, a collection of New York hardcore with groovy, urban overtones.

The album does not revisit the band's trajectory since 1994. Madball released its first EP, Ball of Destruction, in 1989 as a side project of Agnostic Front. For the Cause looks to the future and reflects the collective and personal circumstances of the members after a quarter-century. Singer Freddy Cricien explains: "If you’re not fighting for a cause, you’re not participating in life. It’s as simple as that. Speak up, fight, inform yourself, make a difference and make sacrifices for what matters to you."

For the Cause marks the return of guitarist Matt Henderson, who had not contributed to a Madball album since Hold It Down in 2000, which he also produced. "The fact that he recorded with us again was really special," says Freddy Cricien.
