In this new tour she strings together short stories, musical numbers and interconnected portraits, with a rhythmic delivery and an eye for detail. You’ll find her larger-than-life figures again, dialogues that spiral out of control and the art of pushing a situation to the point of absurdity without losing touch with reality. The writing alternates between confidences, caricatures and musical detours; the characters shift before your eyes and the refrains settle in like punctuation marks.
