Emily Loizeau returns to the stage with "La Souterraine," an album written and recorded in Wales with producer John Parish (PJ Harvey, Aldous Harding, Dominique A) and her musicians. She tackles the shocks of the contemporary world there—from climate disruption to economic and health crises—with lyrics that seek footholds and common horizons. At Espace Bel Air Saint-Aubin-du-Cormier on March 14, 2026, she will present these new songs in a live format devised with her band, between folk, pop and chanson. The arrangements emphasize the ensemble’s dynamics, the unfolding of rhythms, textures that offset more cutting guitars, and a piano that supplies the backbone. The guiding thread remains the idea of holding on to the light and bringing people together. Recent tracks sit alongside older titles for a coherent journey through her universe.
