Since Tony Allen’s death in 2020, Jeff Mills has reinvented the ensemble, orienting it toward long‑form pieces entirely shaped on stage. Electronic percussion, synthesizers and organic instruments interlock, creating motifs that evolve through successive layers. The live performance relies on collective dynamics, attentive listening and rhythmic tension, offering a journey that moves by ebb and flow rather than by fixed, standalone tracks.
