Info
Les Négresses Vertes, a Parisian band formed in 1987, developed a distinctive sound blending chanson réaliste, acoustic rock and Mediterranean rhythms. Their debut album, Mlah (1988), threw the doors wide open, and by 1989 their remixes were charting in the UK. They went on to release Famille Nombreuse (1991), Zig-zague (1995) and Trabendo (1999), milestones in a career that travels as much as it blends styles. The band toured internationally until 2001, then reformed in 2018 for an extensive tour of more than 300 dates that ran until December 2024.
They will appear on 25 March 2026 at the Dôme Mutzig for a concert focused on their repertoire. Acoustic guitars, accordion, brass and percussion lay down the nomadic groove that is their signature, moving between punk outbursts, Latin flourishes and urban poetry. Key tracks such as Zobi la mouche, Voilà l’été and Face à la mer rekindle the thread of a story that continues on stage, performed by a tight-knit, no-frills collective.
