After four years away, Sarah McCoy returns to the Sax in Achères on April 11, 2026. An American pianist and singer now established in France, she moves between blues, soul and subtle electronic touches. Her generous voice and pared-down piano carry songs that mingle reworked standards and new material, all crafted in a direct songwriting style.
This performance is presented as a piano-and-voice solo. In a concise format with intentionally embraced intimacy, McCoy places the grain of her voice, the rhythm of her hands and the silences that hold the room at the center. She reopens her repertoire, offers rearranged versions and lets work-in-progress pieces surface, without unnecessary effects. A simple, close face-to-face encounter to reconnect with an artist who advances at her own tempo, between American roots and a French anchoring, for one evening at the Sax.
