I Muvrini

I Muvrini have been making Corsican polyphony resonate for several decades. Led by the Bernardini brothers, the group weaves tight harmonies, blends the Corsican language and French, and overlays contemporary arrangements on a resolutely vocal foundation. On stage, the voices answer one another, supported by guitars, percussion and discreet electronic touches, in a repertoire that spans their recent albums as well as older songs. The pieces speak of the island, of transmission and openness, with the echo of the paghjelle intersecting today’s songwriting. Their career has led them to collaborate with artists from all backgrounds, from Sting to traditional choirs, while maintaining the same backbone: singing as a bond.
