Ahmed Sylla returns with Origami, a one-man show that folds and unfolds our trajectories. In it he recounts how choices, joys, sorrows, victories and failures shape a destiny, and delights in imagining what would have happened if he hadn’t left his hometown. After more than ten years of bending over backwards to make people laugh, the comedian explores his detours, turns forks in the road into stories and mishaps into expressive set pieces, alternating between confidences, physical play and a keen sense of rhythm. On October 25, 2026, he will present this new show at Zénith Nantes Métropole Saint-Herblain. On stage he blends characters and everyday situations, opens and closes paths as one folds a sheet of paper, allowing other outlines to emerge. Origami is not a manifesto but rather a simple, playful space where he questions the place we give ourselves, the paths we take and those moments when we pack up to try something else.
