Thylacine, aka William Rezé, has made the road his workshop. From the tracks of the Trans‑Siberian to the Andes, from the Faroe Islands to Turkey—where he learned the baglama—every detour feeds his textures and rhythms. For Roads vol. 3 he stepped away from the routines of his Paris studio and spent three months on a new continent, traveling in his 1972 Airstream converted into a mobile studio. That need to move, to shift atmospheres, and the time reclaimed away from tour routines inform pieces written along the landscapes, between intuition captured in the moment and patient production work. Thylacine will present this sonic journey at the Zénith de Lille in Lille on 14 March 2026.
Opening the bill, Vraell, the British composer Alessio Scozzaro, unfolds an electronica tinged with neoclassical hues. Guitars and strings converse with synthetic textures, airy voices and repetitive motifs that settle effortlessly. It’s an introduction that extends the idea of music in motion and prepares the ground for Thylacine’s explorations.
