Olivier de Benoist returns with Le droit au bonheur, a new stand-up in which he dissects his family life with his trademark sense of the offbeat. To treat a persistent melancholy, he drew closer to his loved ones… only to discover that conjugal life and fatherhood are not always the ideal antidote. Between therapy appointments, breathing exercises and dreams of exile to the countryside, ODB unfolds a funny, unvarnished diary of the joys and frictions of everyday life. He plays with his image as an overwhelmed father, alternates confidences with well-aimed barbs, and amuses himself imagining all the ways to slip away discreetly — the classic “going out to buy cigarettes” exit at the top of the list. A show carried by observational humour and a taste for the absurd, where the intimate meets the spirit of the times. To be seen on 6 November 2026 at the Théâtre de Béthune in Béthune.
