Olivier de Benoist sets down his suitcases at the Opéra de Limoges in Limoges on June 3, 2026. A leading figure in French stand-up, he returns with a show built around a very simple, very persistent obsession: finding happiness. Only along the way he found a family. From that point on, everything gently goes off the rails. He turns married and parental daily life into an area of exploration, strings together confessions and mischievous digressions, and plays with the idea that haunts him: to live happily, is it better to hide... or to put some distance between yourself and your wife and children?

On stage he revels in irony, tackles domestic life as if slicing up a battle plan, and experiments with emotional survival strategies with unabashed bad faith. There is nothing moralizing about it—just a wish to dismantle small certainties and observe what creaks when you try to reconcile everything. The text is co-written with long-time collaborators Paul-Marie Debrie and Jérôme Daran, for a tight, fast-paced format of about 90 minutes. An opportunity to find Olivier de Benoist where he excels: on the razor’s edge between confession and role-playing, close to our habits and their blind spots.
