Salut c'est cool

Formed in the early 2010s, Salut c'est cool is a French electronic music collective that cultivates a lo-fi aesthetic at the crossroads of minimal techno, off-kilter Eurodance, synth-pop and rave influences. The project drew attention with self-produced music videos released online, in which absurdist humor, a taste for everyday situations and nods to internet culture take center stage. On stage, Salut c'est cool present performances akin to installation and video art, blending spontaneous dance, a simple visual setup and repetitive textures, often built around direct melodic motifs and slogans chanted rather than sung. Throughout the 2010s, the group played an increasing number of shows in independent venues, clubs and festivals across France and Europe, positioning itself within an alternative electronic scene that blurs the boundaries between concert, party and artistic performance. Salut c'est cool's approach rests on an unabashed relationship to pop and techno, a deliberately naive sensibility, and a way of exploring the contrast between the apparent lightness of the lyrics and the music's physical energy.
