Info
In 2027, Damien Rice will celebrate the 25th anniversary of his debut O with a tour that looks back to the beginning: songs that revolve around voice, guitar, and piano, with plenty of space for silence and tension. On April 16, 2027, the Irish singer-songwriter will perform at Royal Theater Carré in Amsterdam for an evening in which he once again places the austere, acoustic power of O at the center. Rice has always steered his own course: after leaving Juniper, he toured Europe and later returned to Ireland to write, record, and produce his first album at home. O grew into a key album in his repertoire, with tracks such as The Blower's Daughter, Cannonball, and Volcano: personal, direct, and unadorned. Live, Rice is known for intense performances that can range from minimalist to fuller accompaniment, yet always remain faithful to dynamics and vulnerability. During this anniversary show, he returns to the songs with which it all began, as you would most like to hear them: intimate, raw, and fully in the moment.
