Info
On May 7, 2027, The Rock Orchestra brings its “By Candlelight” show to the Tribute Communities Centre in Oshawa, turning rock and metal staples into a full-on orchestral experience. Born in the UK, the project reworks classic songs through sweeping string sections while keeping the punch of drums and guitars, landing somewhere between a concert and a cinematic score.
What makes this format stand out is the staging: a dark, theatrical atmosphere lit by candlelight, with costumes, masks and bold visual elements that push the set beyond a standard symphonic performance. Rather than putting a single frontperson in the spotlight, The Rock Orchestra plays as a collective, built around tight ensemble energy and heavy arrangements. Expect familiar riffs and choruses to hit differently, amplified by layered orchestration and that immersive, night-time vibe.
