Info
On November 19, 2026, at the Fairmount Theatre in Montreal, Protest The Hero returns to remind audiences why its name has circulated for two decades among high‑intensity metal fans. Formed in Ontario, the band has carved out a niche by blending progressive metal, metalcore, and mathcore, with intricate, multi‑part tracks, abrupt tempo changes, and guitars as precise as they are nerve‑racking. On stage, this dense writing takes on a more direct dimension: alternating melodic lines with crisper, more biting attacks, sharp riffs, relentless momentum, without losing the thread. From Kezia to Fortress, from Volition to Palimpsest, the set promises to navigate between periods and textures, with that sense of a collective performance where anything can tilt in a single measure. Alongside them, CHOKE and KAONASHI complete the lineup with two approaches that stay true to impact and tension, perfect for setting the stage for a night that leans into speed, complexity, and letting go.
