Info
On March 30, 2027, Angine de Poitrine lands at Grey Eagle in Calgary with its instrumental, body-moving take on experimental rock. The Quebec duo, Klek and Khn de Poitrine, has been building a sharp, rhythmic language since 2023, sitting somewhere between math rock, angular post-punk, and a repetitive, almost mechanical pulse that nods to certain forms of techno.
No vocals, no front-person theatrics: the show is driven by tight construction and constant motion. Short motifs stack up, then get stripped back; matte, precise drums lock in with microtonal guitar and bass lines, while chromatic phrases add quiet tension inside lopsided, asymmetric structures. It’s music that plays with displacement and variation, staying crisp and nervous, but still danceable.
After the release of Vol. 1 in 2024 and quick circulation across Quebec stages, this Calgary date is a chance to catch a project that treats repetition like a living thing, and rock energy like a system you can rewire in real time.
