Info
On January 29, 2027, Mélissa Laveaux comes to La Cigalière in Sérignan with material from her album At My Softest, I Am Most Dangerous. There, she continues a taut indie pop, threaded with recurring motifs around bees, like a secret thread running through her writing. On stage, the electric guitars engage in a dialogue of psychedelic fingerpicked arpeggios, with colors that brush against 70s Latin rock and echoes of modern pop. The voice and backing vocals occupy a central place, crafted like a small inner theatre where different spirits cross paths along the journey. Based in France since 2008 after growing up in Ontario, Mélissa Laveaux has, since her earliest records, forged a barebones, intimate folk where family and distance leave their marks. This concert promises a face-to-face between this direct writing and a sound that is more electric, more inhabited.
