Info
Madra Salach lands at SWG3 Glasgow on April 5, 2027, bringing that new-wave Dublin folk energy built on sweaty stages and tight band playing. Now a six-piece, they work the space between trad Irish music and contemporary songwriting: story-driven ballads, tunes that feel instantly familiar, and a group sound that hits with real momentum. Their songs pull from the old forms without treating them like museum pieces, letting fiddles, rhythm and voices lock into something direct and very live.
After the singles Blue & Gold and I Was Just A Boy, the EP It’s a Hell of an Age (2026) set the tone: narrative hooks, pub-born melodies, and a modern edge that keeps the traditional framework moving forward. With a first album, Gorta, announced for 2027, this Glasgow date at SWG3 should sit right at that turning point, where the band’s early buzz meets a bigger, sharper next chapter, plus special guests to warm up the night.
