Info
The Rock Orchestra By Candlelight lands at Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa on April 30, 2027 for a show that sits somewhere between a rock gig and a theatrical orchestral performance. Born in the UK, the collective reshapes rock and heavy metal classics into dense, cinematic arrangements: strings driving the melodies, with drums and guitars adding weight rather than staying in the background.
The “by candlelight” format is key to the experience. Expect a dark, staged atmosphere, a touch of macabre imagery, and a production designed to feel immersive without turning into a standard symphonic concert. Instead of spotlighting a single frontperson, the ensemble works as a unit, letting the familiar riffs and choruses hit differently through orchestration, dynamics, and tension-building transitions. A night for anyone who likes their rock loud, their classics reimagined, and their concert setting a bit more dramatic than usual.
