Info
On March 3, 2027, Bess Atwell stops by L’Escogriffe, in Montreal, to unveil her intimate folk-pop, blending stripped-back acoustic and subtly catchy melodies. Born in London, she writes songs that are emotionally resonant, with that eye for the details of daily life and relationships that makes you feel as if you’re stepping into an open notebook, with no unnecessary filter. Since Hold Your Mind (2016) and the Big Blue EP (2019), she has refined a nuanced, understated approach, where gentleness never masks candor.
With Already, Always (2021) and Light Sleeper (2024), produced by Aaron Dessner, Bess Atwell has grown in scope while preserving that taste for spare arrangements and a voice in the foreground. On stage, expect a set that moves between English folk and hushed alternative pop, driven by a precise delivery and a calm tension. Guest performers will be announced to round out the evening.
