Info
On October 22, 2026 in Vancouver, The Blasting Company brings the music of Over the Garden Wall to the stage with a live performance built around the show’s soundtrack. Formed in Los Angeles by half-brothers Justin Rubenstein and J.R. Kaufman, the ensemble has a knack for turning stories into songs, with arrangements that feel like they’ve wandered out of an old-time radio play. Their sound sits at the crossroads of American folk, Eastern European melodies and early jazz, shaped by busking roots and a street-band energy.
Expect woodsy textures, brass bursts, accordion lines and percussion that swing from Balkan flourishes to dixieland nods, all in service of that slightly haunted, autumnal mood the series is known for. It’s not just a greatest-hits set: it’s a chance to hear how their narrative writing and period-tinged atmospheres translate in a room, played by the musicians who built this world in the first place.
