On November 27, 2026, Hollow Ship lands at Le Chinois in Montreuil with its Gothenburg-born psychedelic sensibility, sharpened by a genuine obsession with groove. For them, guitars draw from the British rock of the sixties, but the engine is elsewhere: afro-rock rhythms, touches of jazz, and long instrumental sequences where tracks stretch out, fork, and reinvent themselves along the way.
Formed around Thomas E. Frank and Vincent Vensal, the band laid its foundations with We Were Kings, then Future Remains, before continuing to take detours. Between references and narratives, Hollow Ship also likes to inject imagination into its titles, such as Utsuro Bune, inspired by a nineteenth-century Japanese legend. More recently, the EP Animated Music (2024) extends their taste for the dialogue between sound and image, born from a collaboration with visual artist Freddy Wallin. On stage, all of this translates into moving jams and a constant rhythmic tension, somewhere between Dungen, Goat, and psychedelic that keeps its feet on the ground.
